This past weekend I played in a tennis tournament that was for big brothers big sisters so it was a bunch of older women that I played with/against. I played doubles with my mom's friend that played tennis in college and she was using a babolat pure drive. I noticed that a lot of the older women were using this racket so I thought that I could write this week's blog on the babolat pure drive! I warmed up with this racket so I could get a feel of how it hit, one major thing I noticed is that it was a lot heavier than my racket is. My racket I play with now is a babolat pure drive light and they hit a lot different. My racket focuses on power and spin but the pure drive hits super flat (no spin) and is pretty heavy. The racket is 11.7oz as my racket is 9.5oz, that's a big difference. As I did my research it said that the racket focuses on precision and speed. This racket is also known for being a super good serving racket. These are the dynamics of the babolat pure drive:

This week is the start of something new! Throughout this semester long project I will be rating tennis rackets and giving you guys feedback on how the racket performs, the head of the racket, frame, grip/handle, and just my overall thoughts on the racket. I got this idea for a project when I was playing tennis and I decided that I need a new racket. I am super passionate about tennis and I hope to play in college! So when it comes to choosing a racket it can be super stressful because without that racket you can't play! What better way than to document each racket that I test out until I find the one!
